With the release of Notification No. 01/2025, the Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) has announced a massive recruitment drive to engage 2865 Act Apprentices across its various divisions and workshops for the training year 2025-26.
This is a prestigious opportunity for ITI pass-outs to receive hands-on training in a world-class environment, gain invaluable experience, and receive a stipend under the prestigious Apprentices Act, 1961.

✅ Who Can Apply?
1. Educational Qualification:
Must have passed 10th class/Matriculation with a minimum of 50% marks (aggregate, no rounding off).
Must possess a National Trade Certificate in the relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
Crucial Note: Candidates must have already passed these qualifications on or before the notification date (20/08/2025). Those awaiting results are not eligible.
2. Age Limit (as on 20/08/2025):
Minimum Age: 15 years
Maximum Age: 24 years
Age Relaxation is applicable as per government norms for:
SC/ST candidates: 5 years
OBC candidates: 3 years
PwBD candidates: 10 years (15 for SC/ST PwBD, 13 for OBC PwBD)

♿ Inclusive Recruitment for PwBD Candidates:
The WCR has specific provisions for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). Vacancies are reserved across various categories—Locomotor Disability (LD), Visual Impaired (VI), Hearing Impaired (HI), and Multiple Disabilities (MD). Eligible candidates with 40% or more disability (60 decibels or more for HI) are encouraged to apply. The notification provides detailed, trade-specific physical requirements to ensure a fair and inclusive process.
📝 How is the Selection Done?
The selection process is merit-based and completely transparent.
A merit list will be prepared based on the average marks obtained in the 10th class examination plus the marks in the ITI course.
The merit list will be prepared trade-wise, unit-wise, and community-wise.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification at their applied unit.
There will be no written examination.

💡 Important Points to Remember:
This apprenticeship does not guarantee a job with the Railways upon completion. It is a skill development training program.
Selected candidates will have to sign a contract and undergo mandatory medical fitness tests.
No hostel accommodation or travel allowance will be provided for the document verification or training period.
Candidates must carefully enter their details (Name, Father's Name, DOB) exactly as they appear on their 10th certificate to avoid disqualification.
